Tom Mullins graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.A. in 1984. He continued his education at George Mason School of Law graduating with a J.D. in 1987. Upon graduating from law school, Tom had the opportunity to clerk for Judge Barbara Keenan of the Virginia Court of Appeals prior to her elevation to the Virginia Supreme Court and most recently to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Tom has practiced for over 25 years in both federal and state courts as well as before various federal and state administrative agencies. His practice has included both trial litigation as well as appellate advocacy.

While Tom’s practice has been general in nature, he has devoted a large portion of his practice to mineral law issues, both coal and gas – including both civil and administrative proceedings, as well as business litigation, real estate litigation estate law and workers’ compensation defense. Tom began his practice in 1988 with Street, Street, Street, Scott and Bowman, the predecessor firm to the Street Law Firm, LLP.
